Date(s) - Sunday, June, 27, 2021
10:00 am - 11:30 am
Join M Camellia (they/them) and Lori Wilen (she/her), for a workshop in honor of Pride Month on Sunday, June 27 at 10 am. During this 90-minute community workshop, we will explore and celebrate our identities, learn more about why Pride month is important, and work towards a more inclusive community.
We celebrate Pride both to acknowledge and make visible the diversity of LGBTQ+ identities that have historically been excluded from and discriminated against. While we have made progress as a society, we still have far to go. How can our collective yoga community address these inequities?
This workshop will include discussion, journaling, asana (appropriate for all bodies!) and meditation. We’ll provide journals. Please bring a willingness to celebrate yourself, challenge your preconceptions, and a desire to grow as individuals and as a community.
Please note: due to the immuno-suppressed (vaccinated) status of one of the facilitators, we’re asking that all attendees wear face coverings in the space OR bring proof of vaccination status if attending live. We also ask that you refrain from attending live if experiencing symptoms of illness. Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if this policy makes attendance problematic for you.
$25 suggested. All proceeds benefit the TransYogaProject (additional donations accepted; no one turned away for lack of funds)
Location (If not specified, the class is online-only)
