Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is a Japanese wellness practice that helps individuals access the healing properties of nature. Extended contemplative time in nature calms the mind, promotes well-being, and cultivates a profound sense of belonging. During this truly immersive experience, you will be invited to slow down, to be curious, and to touch, smell, hear, and see nature more fully. The session will be held at Rock Creek Park. It will not be strenuous but requires the ability to walk a mile or so on uneven surfaces.
