SLIDE & GLIDE SATURDAYS

Tricia Kull

Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and organs. When it’s healthy, fascia allows your muscles to slide and glide as you move. But when your fascia gets tight and stuck, it can restrict your movement.  In this monthly workshop, we will focus on a particular area of the body to help release layers of fascia using props, techniques, and yoga poses. The goal of this workshop is to help decrease tension, improve body awareness, and release fascial “stuckness” so that tissues slide and glide more easily.  Everyone welcome.

Fall session TBA!

These four classes will benefit your immune and glandular system, ability to deal with difficult emotions

and open your heart.

No previous experience with yoga or kundalini yoga is necessary. An open mind, however, is a must.

Autumn Self Care: A 2 Part Online Series

with

Belinda Baer

Self-care may be a current buzzword, but the reality is that we cannot efficiently and sufficiently care for others if we don’t practice self-care. Just like the announcement on the airplane reminding everyone to affix their oxygen mask before helping others, self-care works the same way.

Join Belinda for a two-part online workshop series that will offer Āyurvedic self-care tools specific for the fall season. We’ll explore the qualities that are predominant in the environment during the autumn season and the ways to balance these same qualities in our own bodies to reinstate equilibrium. Leave this workshop series with a tool belt brimming with self-care tools, an understanding of why these tools are necessary and the encouragement needed to implement these tools into your daily life, so that you can better care for your loved ones.

Autumn Harvest

with

James Foulkes

As we enter Autumn, we harvest the growth of Spring and Summer and, like the trees, bring our energy inward to lighten up and release old “leaves” we no longer need.

Autumn is the most potent season for intuition and vision and is associated with the Metal Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In this workshop, we will focus on rejuvenating and invigorating the Organs and Meridians (energy channels) of the Metal Element – the Lungs and Intestines and the transmutation of their negative emotional characteristics.

The Metal energy of Autumn is an expression of new Yin. We will balance the Yin nature of gentle, cleansing asana stretches and breathwork with complementary Yang practices, whilst using meditation, journeying, and deep inward listening to open to our intuitive gifts.

Students of all levels are welcome.

Anatomy of Stress

with

Kristin Leal

We have all experienced stress. Whether it is a feeling of being overworked at your job or the pressure cooker of a tumultuous relationship with a family member or partner… We know stress. Or do we?

Stress actually has a physiological response in your body. When this stress response is turned on through chemical stimulation, we can turn into superheroes with super human strength and reflexes to fight or flee from a dangerous situation. The problem is that we learn to nudge and annoy this system even when there is no immediate threat to be found. This literally wears down the tissues of the body.

Through lecture, we’ll talk about the chemical response of stress and why it might not be a good idea to marinate in them. From there, we’ll learn how to turn off the stress response and turn on the relaxation response- where all of the body and minds housekeeping activities can be performed….ahhhhhh
