With the disruption that currently surrounds us, it’s easy to feel stressed and overwhelmed. Yoga Nidra, a guided meditative practice, can help you find a source of internal stability and resilience. It can ease tension and fatigue, calm the nervous system, and restore energy.
In this workshop you’ll:
– Learn centering and relaxation techniques
– Practice gentle asana stretches for joints and muscles
– Explore yoga breathing techniques
– Be guided through a complete Yoga Nidra practice.
Yoga Nidra is practiced in a comfortable lying or seated position. No prior experience needed — everyone welcome.
To wind down your weekend or to prepare for the week, look no further than this Restorative Yoga workshop. Join us online on the 3rd Sunday monthly for 75 minutes to connect with mind-body-breath. New to Restorative Yoga? No experience is needed. Restorative Yoga invites you through longer held, supported poses and props to relax, renew and restore. As you rest and release your central nervous system has the space to unwind, to restore.
You may want the following props avaialble:
4 blocks or block like items
4 to 6 blankets/towels
1 bolster or cushion from sofa/couch
1 strap or belt/tie/scarf
1 eye mask
Winter Warmer Seasonal Workshop
With James Foulkes
During the Winter Months our energies tend to naturally be drawn inwards as nature becomes still and the cold weather and long nights draw in.
But something deeper is at work.
The Water energy of Winter is an expression of Maximum Yin and Responsiveness. We will balance the Yin nature of the gentle cleansing stretches and breathwork with complementary Yang practices, whilst using meditation, to support the sustaining of our energetic field through the colder months working with the active kidney and bladder energy.
This time is also one of incubating ideas and intentions to manifest in the Spring.
We will establish multi-layered intentions to blossom in the forthcoming year by peering into the shadows of Winter through journeying.
All Students of all levels welcome.
This workshop will be offered in a HYBRID format; students may choose to attend in person or via Zoom. Zoom meeting links to the workshop will be sent to all students before the workshop begins.
